1. Check Your Eligibility
We welcome and encourage all Canadians to participate in the democratic process; anything less is not truly a free democracy.
To vote in Canadian elections, citizens of Canada must meet several criteria. Full details are available on the Elections Canada website:
2. Register to Vote
If you are unsure of your voter registration status, you can ensure you're registered to vote on the Elections Canada website, here:

3. Educate Yourself
While elections themselves seem simple, the political issues we face are very complex. Unlike many other countries, Canadians are fortunate to have a multiparty political system with many choices. Unfortunately, having many choices sometimes makes choosing difficult.
In our current 'first-past-the-post' electoral system, we've been taught to vote for the lesser evil and to vote strategically to prevent slipping backward - rather than to vote for the platform which actually aligns with our beliefs and needs.
The RPC, NDP, and Greens propose changing our electoral system to 'Mixed Member Proportional' which will give Canadian voters more power and flexibility in choosing their government. The Liberals had also claimed in 2015 that electoral reform was one of their goals, but as yet have failed to keep this promise.
While we wait for the next election cycle, we ask and recommend that you make the time investment to read the platforms of each of the parties:
And, of course, the Revolution Party of Canada Platform.
